Masdevallia floribunda Lindl., Edwards's Bot. Reg. 29: misc. 72. 1843.

TYPE: Mexico. A little Mexican Orchidaceous plant, from the collection of John Rogers, Esq. of Sevenoaks, flowering profusely during a large part of the year. J. Rogers s.n.(holotype, K; patatype, W).
